Fox and Hunt whip.
An original watercolor print inspired by the fox hunters in Florida and South Carolina.
The subjects for this painting include a traditional whip that is still in use by a First Flight Field Master in SC. I was inspired to paint the dedicated, traditional lifestyle led by avid fox hunters. The care and attention to detail for all things traditional and classic are impressive. Beautiful equipment is often handed down or kept in use for generations.
I just love that the whip featured here has been hunted all over the southeast of the US. The fox of course is a beautiful, wily creature and I loved painting his eyes!
I have been often invited to be a vendor at the South Creek Foxhuoonds an Annul meet, and of course these fox paintings are a delight!
The art is printed on acid-free watercolor paper with archival inks for a brilliant reproduction that will last a long time.
